Terms of use
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [TODO: legal name] ("Greetroot", "we", "us"). By making, paying for or opening a gift on Greetroot you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Greetroot.
What Greetroot is
Greetroot lets you make a personal, animated page (a "gift") with names, words, photos and a voice note, and send it to someone as one link. You can preview a gift for free; you pay to get its link.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older to buy a gift. Anyone can open a gift sent to them. If you make a gift for a child, you are responsible for what it contains and who you send it to.
Your gift and what you put in it
The words, photos and voice notes you add are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to anyone who opens your gift’s link, only so the gift can work, and for as long as it is live.
You confirm that you have the right to use what you add, and that the people in your photos and voice notes are happy for you to share them this way.
Don’t use Greetroot for anything that is:
- threatening, harassing, bullying or hateful;
- sexual content involving anyone under 18, or sexual content shared without consent;
- pretending to be someone else, or meant to deceive or defraud;
- someone else’s private information shared without their permission;
- illegal in India or where you or the recipient are.
Anyone can report a gift. We may take a gift down, without a refund, if it breaks these rules, and we may share information with the authorities when the law requires it.
Links and secret words
Anyone who has a gift’s link can open it. Keep the link to the people you mean it for. For more privacy, add a secret word and share it separately; the gift then stays closed without it.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Indian rupees before you pay and include applicable taxes. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we don’t see or store your card or UPI details.
You can change a gift for 24 hours after paying. Refunds follow our Refund policy.
How long a gift stays up
A gift stays live for 90 days after payment, then its link stops working. With “Keep it forever”, it stays live for as long as Greetroot runs; if we ever have to close, we will tell you at least 30 days before, using the contact details you gave us.
If something goes wrong
We work hard to keep Greetroot running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any gift is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; changes don’t affect gifts already paid for.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts at Malappuram, Kerala.
